QR Code Free exports PNG and SVG. It does not export EPS directly. If your printer specifically requests EPS, download SVG and convert it in a compatible vector application. Confirm the required file type with your printer before preparing the artwork.
Prepare the source file
- Open the generator and enter the final destination or contact data.
- Start with square modules, dark foreground and a plain light background.
- Download SVG and open the file in your vector application. Check the pattern, background and all four edges.
- Keep the clear margin when placing it in the final layout.
Convert for the production workflow
Use the application’s EPS save or export option. Colour conversion, transparency handling and embedded artwork depend on the application and export settings. Ask the printer how to handle black, spot colours and colour profiles. An EPS extension alone does not validate a file for a press.
If you added a raster logo, it retains its original pixel resolution inside the file. Converting the document does not create additional image detail.
Inspect the converted result
Reopen the EPS in a compatible application and compare it with the original SVG. Print at the intended physical size and scan the printed sample. Repeat the check after placing the code in the final production artwork.
Keep at least four modules of quiet zone on every side. This margin scales with the QR modules rather than being a fixed number of millimetres. See DENSO WAVE’s code-area guidance.
