Use the generator to export a PNG for websites, presentations, documents and applications that accept raster images. PNG downloads are free and require no account.
Create a PNG
- Choose URL / Text, Wi-Fi, Contact or Email and fill in the relevant fields.
- Check the live preview and proofread the encoded content.
- Choose an output size. The current size control runs from 128 to 512 pixels.
- Click Download PNG Free, open the downloaded image and scan it.
The selected size includes the background margin. The tool preserves at least four modules of quiet zone on each side. If the margin control requests less, the export uses the minimum clear border instead.
Choose a size for the actual use
A PNG contains a fixed number of pixels. Enlarging it elsewhere cannot create extra detail. If your layout needs a larger image than this control provides, choose SVG in a compatible design application.
No single pixel dimension guarantees a scan. A short link and a long contact card may produce very different patterns at the same size. Evaluate the actual display or print size, payload density, material, lighting and viewing distance.
Keep the background and border
The exported PNG uses the background colour you select. Do not assume that it is transparent. Avoid placing text or other artwork inside the quiet zone. If an app compresses or resizes the uploaded image, inspect and scan the final displayed version too.
Check the result before sharing
Test more than one phone, check the decoded information and open the destination while signed out of your accounts. Read screens versus paper and quiet zones if the result is difficult to scan.
